My current lineup of gigs, bands and projects that I am involved in.
Santa Fe and The Fat City Horns
-A 15 piece horn band that has been around for over 30 years. I have been a member for around 8 years or so. Being a part of Santa Fe brought back the passion for music in me. It has had an enormous impact on my life as a musician, and my life in general. This band pushes me to become more, to become better than I am. It is an honor to be among some of the greatest people and musicians anywhere.
-Michael has been called the “New Voice of the American Rock & Roll songbook” by Billboard magazine. A charismatic performer, musician and actor, made famous for his piano/lead vocals in the Broadway Musical Movin’ Out. Michael Cavanaugh was handpicked by Billy Joel to star in title role and evokes a style rivaling the Piano Man. Michael appeared in the show for 3 years and over 1200 performances, receiving accolade after accolade, which culminated in 2003 with both Grammy and Tony award nominations.
It is an honor to perform with Michael and be a member of his incredible band. He is an inspiration to me as a singer, musician, and also simply by being the great person that he is.
-Franky is an outstanding performer, singer, songwriter and producer. He is a rare talent, and is one of the most passionate people about music I have ever met. Franky puts everything he has into his performances, into his writing, into his producing. I have had the pleasure of playing on his upcoming album, and also being a member of his outstanding band, FXP. Franky has vision, and he always remains true to it.
I play keyboard 2 occasionally in this great show. From the show’s website…”… this amazing cast of more than 40 performers, big band live orchestra and beautiful showgirls make VEGAS! I had the great opportunity of both performing with and recording with Jackson Guthy, an extremely talented new singer songwriter with enormous potential. A filming on the Ellen Degeneres show was one of our highlights with Jackson, making his debut on the show.
Various TV informercial music
-Growing up a musician, I never said to myself, “Hey, I should write music for infomercials!” Nope, wasn’t really in my plan. However, life will present opportunities sometimes that we never thought of ourselves, and this was one of them. Along with Jerry Lopez, I have had the opportunity to compose background music for various full length tv infomercials. It’s usually a bit of a lengthy process to complete them, and they always come down to the wire with deadlines, but somehow we always get them done and they always turn out great. It’s a great niche to be involved in, I am extremely grateful for the opportunity and the experience.
