This Is Very Cool
Some of you may already know that I have begun a new business venture recently. I started this because I firmly believe in the integrity of the product and the company. What I didn’t know, however, was how deeply this venture would affect me personally. Let me explain to you what I mean.
I received a phone call from my Mom a couple of weeks back. She has been plagued with arthritis for years and years. Her Mom had it as well, and it had taken over her hands so badly that my mother could not close her hands more than maybe a quarter of the way. Think of all of the things we do on a day to day basis gripping things, grabbing things, making a fist. Now think if you were not able to close your hand at all. Pretty scary, huh? This is how my Mom lived day in, day out.
So, back to the phone call…… She calls me and says, ” Jamie, I am making a full fist with my hands for the first time in years!” I was amazed. She said she was cutting something with a pair of scissors one day, and noticed that it wasn’t the chore that it usually is because of the arthritis. She put the scissors down, and began to move her fingers into and out of a full fist!
She is so excited to have her hands back! So I just had to post this video of my Mom and her testimonial. Check it out below.
Now how cool is that! Ok, so, this venture has done far more than I ever thought it would. To be able to affect change like that in your own mother’s life is truly beyond words. I mean, for most of my adult life I have watched my Mom struggle with this arthritis. To be able to help her in this way is such an incredible feeling.
